I met Tia Bertha on my first trip to Donna in 1981. Dimas and I had went there with my dear late father in law, Augustin Salinas. Her house was our first stop. She greeted us with the warmest welcome and offered us to stay at her house, which we did. She was more than kind. While at her house, my daughter Carmen celebrated her first birthday, and took her first steps!! She and Augi laughed and laughed watching Carmen walking. Augi and Dimas kept calling Carmen back and forth so that they could see her walk. The last time I was in Donna, I went to visit her. Again she gave me a smile and a big hug!!!! I hope that my little story made you all smile!!! My deepest sympathy and love to all of you. GOD BLESS!!! Carol Salinas
