Eduardo F. Castañeda, born on March 21, 1933 in Mercedes, Texas, passed away in Weslaco, Texas on August 8, 2017. He is preceded in death by his wife: Manuela Castañeda;  and his parents: Octaviano Castañeda and Refugia Trevino Castañeda. Eduardo leaves behind his daughters: Monica Trevino, Michele Castañeda, and Maribel Castañeda; and his grandchildren: Cassandra Trevino, Alexandra Trevino, Joshua Trevino, and Mercedes Castañeda. Eduardo will be remembered for his passion for fishing. He enjoyed long road trips and would often take long Sunday drives with unknown destinations. He was a man of little words but was full of love and compassion for his family and was a role model to his daughters and grandchildren.
