Jose G. Ortiz, born on August 22, 1931 in Donna, passed away in Edinburg, Texas on June 8, 2017. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfredo de Jesus and Maria Ortiz, his brother Ignacio Ortiz, and his sister, Margarita Ortiz. Jose leaves behind his wife, Irma Garza Ortiz; his brothers, Bruno (Maria J.) Ortiz and Alfredo (Elva) Ortiz; and his sisters, Gloria O. (Oscar J.) Munoz, and Lidia Ortiz. Visitation will take place on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 1:00pm to 9:00pm with a rosary at 7:00pm. Funeral mass will take place at 9:00am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Vaughan Funeral Home in Donna. Burial will follow at Val Verde Memorial Gardens in Donna. Vaughan Funeral Home of Donna is in charge of funeral arrangements.
