Alberto S. Perez (1934-2019)

Donna, TX-Alberto Segura Perez, 85, passed away in Edinburg, Texas after a lengthy illness. His one true testament to life was his family and his friends. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; chatting with family and friends on his front porch, hunting, fishing, and always enjoyed watching a good game of football. In true western fashion, you could always catch him with his cowboy hat on. He was the rock of the family and a fighter till his very last breath, our real life cowboy.

He was born February 10, 1934 in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas to Miguel Perez and Beatriz Segura Perez. He married his lifetime love, Josefina Huerta Perez (+) on September 1st, 1958. Survivors include his 5 children, Miguel A. Perez, Beatriz Perez Guzman, Lourdes Perez Villarreal, Alberto (Rubi) Perez, Jr and Fernando G. (Amelia) Perez. He was a devoted grandfather to 11 grandchildren (Vanessa (Gino) Camacho, Adelberto (Elsa) Guzman, Jr, Michelle I. Perez, Miguel Perez, Jr., Amanda (Albert) Villarreal, Juan Antonio Villarreal, Jr, Alexandria Perez, Lauren Perez, Kennedy Perez, Sofia Perez and Bianca Perez. He also had 5 great grandchildren who he adored and were the light of his life, Trinity A. Guzman, Isaiah Alberto Guzman, Albert Chavez IV, Levi Perez and Israel Perez.  He is also survived by one sister, Estella Chapa and numerous nieces and nephews who he held dear to his heart.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Josefina, his parents Miguel and Beatriz Perez, 2 sisters, Tomasita Perez Sanchez and Julia Perez Isla as well as 2 brothers Manuel S. Perez and twin, Alfonso Perez.
