Juan Botello Garcia of Donna, TX has gained his wings on Friday, July 12, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents Vidal and Victoria Garcia, his brothers: Pablo Garcia, Apolinar Garcia, Sirildo Garcia, and his sisters, Jovita Garcia and Josefina Reyes. Mr. Garcia is survived by his loving wife of forty-seven years, Teresita Paredes Garcia, and their children, Josefina Garcia, Aurora Garcia, Juanita V. Garcia, Teresita Garcia (Barnabe Coronado) and Juan Jesus Garcia; his brothers and sisters, Julia Gaytan, Estella Garcia, Lupe (Cruz) Sauceda, Maggie (Rey) Hernandez, and Isidro Garcia. In addition, Juan is also survived by his five grandchildren, Janel Garcia, Juan Perez, Natalie Olguin, Daniel Olguin Jr, and Victoria Coronado, and his uncle and aunt: Esteban (Maria) Botello and numerous nieces and nephews. Juan worked for Preston Milk Company and was a member of the Brown Beret Chicano Movement. He also worked at CEO as a coordinator, assisting the at-risk youth and their families from the colonias. He was also a member of the board for Su Clinica Familar in Cameron County and Nuestra Clinica del Valle in Hidalgo County, worked as an Immigration Consultant, and was the first to organize the Union for custodial and maintenance workers for Donna I.S.D., Southwest Workers Union Local 12. Juan’s favorite pastimes were fishing and spending time with his loved ones and working at his auto-body shop, Juan’s Body Shop, in Donna, TX. Juan Botello Garcia was beloved by all. May he rest in peace.
