With great sorrow the Corona and Garza Family announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, son and brother Fernando Corona on Monday, March 6, in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was seventy-five. Born and raised in Edinburg, Texas and later moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. He was a retired Army Veteran who served as a medical specialist and served many years in the National Guard. He graduated from Texas A&M University Corpus Christi with a B.B.A. in General Business and was owner and operator of Taxven Income Tax and Bookkeeping Service.
Fernando is preceded in death by his father Jose Salud Corona, brothers Ramiro and Jose Salud Corona Jr. He is survived by his mother Maria de Jesus Martinez Corona and siblings Esthela Corona- Landford, Janie Garcia, Amalia Balli, Esperanza Soliz, Leticia Corona, Saul and Daniel Corona. He is survived by his current spouse Maria C. Corona, former spouse Maria M. Villarreal and their children Marco Antonio Corona & Gylma Garza (Richard Garza) and grandchildren Jobe, Joseph, Isaiah, Asa and step-grandson Adolfo Ramos.
Fernando was an avid reader and a proud patriot who loved God, family, and country. He will be deeply missed.
