Jose R Rangel

Jose Reyes Rangel Sr. (76) answered his call home on the evening of August 12, 2019. Mr. Rangel, born on January 6, 1943, passed away after a full and long life on Earth. After serving his country as a Marine in Vietnam, he married his lovely wife Evangelina Rangel and accomplished many goals he had set for himself and his family. His lifelong contributions included work as an elementary school counselor with Donna Independent School District, active church member in Donna, community service leader with Donna Lions Club and Donna Veterans of Foreign Wars, and loving husband/father who worked hard to provide for his family. Mr. Rangel thoroughly enjoyed his work with the elementary school children and community service organizations. He also loved the Dallas cowboys, the old Western cowboys on TV, singing and dancing, joking and playing bingo at bar-b-ques with family and friends. His strength, active lifestyle, gusto, patience, determination, and quirky nature will be remembered and revered by all who love him. He is survived by his wife Evangelina Rangel, daughter Sasha Yvonne Rangel Cutler, sons: Jose Reyes Rangel Jr., Marco Aaron Rangel, and Evaristo Emiliano Rangel. Also surviving are his grandchildren Evan Ovidio Rangel, Seth Preston Rangel, Jose Reyes Rangel III, Bryan Thomas Cutler, Tyler Charles Cutler, and Nina Gracelynne Dianne Cutler.
