Roberto Castillo

Roberto Castillo, 53, went home to our Lord Sunday, July 19, 2020, at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco, Texas.

A lifelong resident of the valley, Robert, as he was known to friends and family, had given his life to the Lord at a very young age. He had a passion for music and loved to sing in his church choir. He was a kind soul who loved his friends and family unconditionally. He will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him.

        He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Martin Sr. and Juana Castillo.

He is survived by his uncle, Juan Accession Castillo; his aunt, Epifania Casas; eight siblings, Lupita Montelongo, Margret (Daniel) Menchaca, Mary Hernandez, Martin “Tino” Castillo Jr., Juanita Isabel Leija, Diana Garza, Donna Castillo, and Juana M. Garza; along with 11 nieces and nephews; 2 great nieces; and 1 great nephew. 

The family would like to sincerely thank the entire staff at Knapp Medical Center, especially those in the COVID ICU 1st floor unit, who were so compassionate and extremely enduring with our family.
