Vicente Orlando “Teddy Bear” Munoz, age 60, passed away after a long illness at Knapp Medical Center in Weslaco on Friday, April 30, 2021. He was born on July 16, 1960 in Weslaco, Texas to Amalio Munoz Jr, and Cecelia (Cruz) Munoz who preceded him in death. Vicente Munoz is a lifelong resident of Donna, Texas.
Mr. Munoz is survived by his Aunt, Juanita (Salinas) Perez (husband Inocencio Perez), his eldest brother, Amalio Munoz, III (wife Judith De Leon) his sister, Ruth Munoz and his youngest sister, Valerie Munoz. In addition, nine nephews and nieces Amalio Anthony Munoz, IV, Brando Munoz, Jacqueline Munoz, John De Leon, Julian De Leon, Ericka Perez, Merricka Perez, Miricka Perez, Ricki Marie Perez, and two grand nieces, Natalie Munoz and Allyson Munoz, as well as numerous uncles, aunts and cousins also survived him.
After graduating from Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas, Mr. Munoz began working with Progreso Independent School District. For over thirty years, he enjoyed working everyday with the students, parents and staff. It gave him great joy to work at Progreso ISD.

In addition, the Munoz Family wants to thank the nurses and staff at Fresenius Kidney Care, the nurses and staff at Weslaco Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and finally, a special thank you to the staff and Dr. Daniel Farray-Berges of Texas Oncology in Weslaco.
A Cremation Memorial Service (viewing) will be held Friday, May 7, 2021, at Vaughan Funeral Home in Donna, Texas from 3:00 P.M. to 9:00 P. M.
